Assistant Instructor

The PADI Assistant Instructor course is the first part of the PADI Instructor Development Course. You will not only gain additional experience as a PADI professional but you will also start learning the PADI system of diver education.

The Assistant instructor course focuses on educational methodology and starts to develop candidate’s teaching abilities in the classroom, confined and open water as well as concentrating on the courses that Assistant Instructors can independently teach.

Prerequisites

  • Age 18 years or older
  • PADI Divemaster certification
  • Minimum of 60 scuba dives logged
  • Have been a PADI certified diver for a minimum of 6 months
  • Have completed a recognized first aid course within the previous 24 months
  • Have undergone a medical examination and be cleared for diving by a physician within the previous 12 months

  • All practise pool sessions
  • All Open Water training (any site entry fees not included)
